CA0337 Irish Regency Egyptian Revival bronze and Connemara caryatid candlesticks
A fine pair of early 19th century (probably Irish) Regency Egyptian Revival ormolu gilt and patinated bronze caryatid candlesticks. Finely cast and chased candle cups beautifully designed with fine leaf decoration and cross checked band. Nicely patinated Egyptian female caryatid figures sitting on beautifully subtle light green Connemara columns and block bases. Connemara is a rare semi-precious marble which is only found in Galway, Ireland. Gilt bronze lotus leaf and beaded collar. Very attractive and very rare candlesticks. Irish, circa 1820.
