CA0430 Grand Tour black marble neoclassical tazza

Attractive, fine quality late 19th century Italian twin handled Grand Tour Giallo Antico marble tazza after the antique with beautifully elaborately sculpted classical bacchanalian heads to both sides. Shallow circular bowl with a lobed exterior and two simply designed handles. Shallow interior with a central foliate finial. Beautiful fluted spreading stem on an integral plinth which sits on a black marble base. A rare beautiful item in the manner of Benedetto Boschetti (Rome 1820-1870). Italy, probably Rome, circa 1880.
