CA0447 Grand Tour alabaster satyr head tazza

Attractive good quality late 19th century Italian twin handled neoclassical style Grand Tour carved alabaster tazza. Beautifully carved expressive busts of classical fauns or satyrs to each side to support the handles. Deep inner bowl with well carved lobed body above a turned waisted socle sitting on an oval platform base decorated with garlands and flowers. Italy, possibly Florence, circa 1890.
