Rare bronze plaque of Napoleon

A fascinating, rare, decorative well cast early 19th century bronze relief portrait plaque of the Emperor Napoleon with a victor's laurel. Simple portrait without a legend. Set in the original gilt bronze frames with integral hanging loop. Very similar to official portraits of Napoleon struck on commemorative medals of the period. Retains what seems to be its original paper back. Very smart, elegant portrait. France, circa 1810.
