CA0490 Attractive pair of French Empire candlesticks

Attractive good quality pair of early 19th century French Empire gilt bronze candlesticks. Beautifully cast and chased with fine reeded stems decorated with a stylised grape and foliate central band. Classic Empire design palmette candle cups and stylised achanthus leaf banding. Leaf cast floral circular bases. Super example of all things Empire. France, circa 1820.
