Rare fine pair of early 19th century French Empire period gilt bronze ormolu curtain tie backs with a classical design mascaron portrait reliefs of the goddess of the soul, Psyche. Super quality pair with typical Empire designed border of stylised acanthus leaves. Original metal spike to the rear. French, circa 1815.
