CA0468 Grand Tour Bacchanalian Sarcophagus signed Nisini

Fascinating and very rare mid 19th century Grand Tour verdigris bronze model of a Roman sarcophagus decorated with a bacchanalian procession on classical paw feet, after the antique. Good large size, beautiful patina, signed 'G. Nisini Roma' to the rear. Presented on a substantial Levanto marble block base. Rome, circa 1850.
