Rare 19th century alabaster bust of Robert 'Rabbie' Burns
Rare, well carved, late 19th century beautifully figured alabaster bust of Scotland's greatest son: the poet, lyricist and pioneer of the Romantic movement, Robert 'Rabbie' Burns 1759–1796. Depicted in his typical 18th century waistcoat and overcoat with an elaborate lace cravat. inscribed 'BURNS'. Associated gilt bronze socle base. Perfect addition to any Burns Night celebration. Circa 1880.
