CA0543 Micromosaic paperweight with seven views or Rome

A good quality late 19th century Grand Tour micromosaic paperweight depicting seven vignettes of views of the ancient sites of Rome set into marmo negro scalloped edge base. The seven views being the Piazza San Pietro surrounded by the Forum with the Temples of Vespesian and Titus and Saturn, the Tomb of Caecilia Metella, the Colosseum, the Temple of Hercules Victor, The Pantanos Arch and the Pantheon. Some small flea bites to the edge as shown. Rome, circa 1860.
