French Louis XVI Revival Clock Garniture
Nice example of a late 19th century gilt ormolu bronze and white marble Louis XVI Revival celestial clock boudoir garniture. The clock features a cherub standing on a swirling cloud holding aloft a patinated bronze globe with applied Roman numerals and stars and containing the platform escarpment movement. White marble base with applied floral garlands, typical Louis XVI circular bead mount and four gilt bronze feet. Beautiful candle cups which sit on a spray of imperial feathers. The white marble candlestick stems with trailing floral mounts and bead. France, circa 1890.
