Large, good quality neoclassical still life oil on canvas painting of a marble Medici Venus and a taxidermy Bird of Paradise set against a backdrop of velvet drapery in blue, ivory and scarlet very much in the manner of the Belgian artist Jules Pollet (1870-1941). Well constructed composition in rich vivid colour. Unsigned, from the early to mid 20th century in a contemporary frame.
