Rare Large Grand Tour Specimen Marble Strigil Column

Substantial and impressive late 19th century Italian Grand Tour specimen marble classical strigil Marmo Frigio column with beautifully carved Marmo Rosso Corinthian capital and laurel base. The column sits on a carved Carrara marble block pedestal base inset with panels of Spanish Broccatello marble set on Verde Antico marble block base. Finely carved delicate piece of large size. Italy, circa 1890.
