CA1175 French Barbedienne Grand Tour Seven Branch Candelabra
A fine and rare pair of French 19th century Grand Tour style Neo Pompeian dual patination seven branch candelabra, stamped Barbedienne. Inspired by Roman originals they depict The Resting Satyr of Praxiteles and The Satyr Playing the Flute based on originals in the Capitoline Museum, Rome. Interesting square bases with classical decoration and Roman sandled feet. Circa 1860.
