Grand Tour Leonardo cameo paperweight

Interesting late 19th Century Grand Tour paperweight in form of a decorated book with a central cameo style relief of Leonardo Da Vinci in white alabaster. The book is carved from a translucent stone, probably rock crystal, with delicate etched filigree patterns to represent tooling on a book and inscribed 'Leonardo'. The central cameo sits on a black glass circular disc with a white alabaster surround. Fascinating rare survivor. Ialy, circa 1890.
