Lovely early to mid 19th Century Italian Grand Tour specimen marble sarcophagus form desk inkwell. Sicilian Jasper body with a Belgium Black marble edge and base, beautifully aged creamy white alabaster highlight and grey Bardiglio corners. Two inkwell interior. Italy, circa 1840.
