A fine pair of early 19th Century French Late Empire period ormolu and patinated bronze candlesticks, after the antique. Classical brazier form candle cups with a central heart shaped rope design and original bobeches. Egyptian style gilt bronze palm caps and collars on elegant patinated fluted columns. Elaborate classical acanthus leaf-capped lion paw feet on gilt bronze bases. France, circa 1820.
