Fine pair of French Empire ormolu gilt bronze cassolettes with swan handles
Fine and impressive pair of early 19th Century late French Empire period urn, or vase, shaped ormolu gilt bronze cassolettes. Mounted with typical neoclassical Empire design mounts and beautifully cast and chased swan neck handles with spread wings. Reversable lids for use as candlesticks. Sitting on stepped block plinth bases. France, circa 1820.
