CA0761 Pair of 19th Century Bronze Harvest Cherubs after Clodion
A pair of small 19th Century patinated bronze cherubic harvest gatherers after Claude Michel Clodion (1738-1814). One crowned in fruiting vine holding a sickle and carrying a bunch of grapes over his shoulder the other wreathed in flowers carrying a wheatsheaf. Deep dark patination with a hint of green mounted on marmo rosso block bases. French, circa 1880.
