Large Early 19th Century Ormolu Portrait plaque of Napoleon

Rare, good sized, early 19th Century gilt bronze or copper ormolu high relief profile portrait plaque of Napoleon, Emperor of France, in military uniform in the manner of Maire. Original gilt bronze circular frame decorated with beautiful French Empire period designs. Central top loop for suspension. An identical plaque, but in patinated bronze, sold at Christies, New York, 24th May 2001 lot 24. France, circa 1815.
