Pair of French Empire Caryatid Candlesticks

Lovely, good quality, small pair of French Empire period gilt and patinated bronze classical caryatid candlesticks. Beautifully cast and machined gilt bronze socles in typical Empire style surmounted by patinated bronze classical maidens holding aloft gilt bronze candlecups decorated with a greek key and stylised acanthus design. Quintessentially Empire. One bobeche slightly distorted. France, circa 1815.
