French Charles X Ormolu Encrier Inkstand

Attractive and substantial early 19th century French gilt bronze ormolu encrier, or inkstand. Solid example, well cast and chased. Decorated with neoclassical designs with heavy paw feet, central candleholder, inkpot and pounce pot all in gilt bronze. French, Charles X period, circa 1830.
