Rare Pair of Black Marble Obelisks with ormolu hieroglyphs

Rare pair of superb quality 19th Century ormolu mounted French Napoleon III Egyptian revival obelisks in belgian black marble in the manner of Vulliamy or the specialist sculptor Gouault. Very rare, highly detailed ormolu mounts representing egyptian hieroglyphs, quite beautiful, I have never seen another pair like them. French, circa 1870.
