Small Grand Tour Alabaster model of the Temple of Hercules Victor

A rare and beautiful little Grand Tour Alabaster architectual cabinet model of the Temple of Hercules Victor in Rome. Mounted on a white alabaster base with the name 'Vesta' inscribed on the front. This temple located in the Piazza Bocca della Verita on the banks of the Tiber was mistaken for a Temple of Vesta due to its round construction throughout the 19th Century. Good condition. Rome, Italy, circa 1860.
