CA1020 Large Grand Tour Bronze of Narcissus

Fine late 19th century Neapolitan Grand Tour polished patinated library bronze of Narcissus (Dionysus) of large size, after the antique original found ai Pompeii in 1862 and now in the National Archaeological Museum in Naples. Signed 'Msée de Naples' to base. Acquired from the Hazelwood Castle estate near Tadcaster. Italy, circa 1890.
