Rare pair of Berlin Iron Busts of Goethe and Schiller by Leonhard Posch

An extremely fine quality and rare pair of bronze patinated Berlin iron table busts of the German writer and pioneer of the Grand Tour Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and the poet and philospher Friedrich Schiller, signed Posch F. Leonhard Posch (Austrian 1750-1831) produced a series of cast iron portrait busts of important writers and philosphers of the early 19th century. Berlin, circa 1820.
