Pair of Grand Tour Marmo Rosso Busts of Caesar and Augustus

A rare pair of 19th century Grand Tour Marmo Rosso cabinet busts of the titans of Roman Imperial history, Julius Caesar and Augustus Octavius Caesar. Well executed, both busts and socles have been carved from a single nicely figured block of red marble. Inscribed 'CESARE' and 'AVGVSTO' respectively. Late 19th Century, Italian.
