Large Grand Tour Bronze of the Borghese Gladiator

Powerful and expressive large scale late 18th Century Grand Tour patinated bronze of the Borghese Gladiator with a sword. Superbly modelled, probably the best version of this bronze I have seen in 30 years of collecting. Lovely deep dark, almost black, matt patination. Presented on its original white marble stepped plinth style base with glorious patches of green and orange patination.
