CA1104 Rare Grand Tour Patinated Bronze Danaid
Very rare good quality 19th century Grand Tour patinated bronze of one of the five Danaids, or Daughters of Danaus, from the excavated Villa of the Papyri in Herculaneum and now on display in the Naples Archaeological Museum. Arguably the most attractive of the five, this is the only example of these figures at this scale we have seen in 30 years of collecting.
