CA1172 Bronze Floor Standing Oil Lamp After the Antique

Impressive large sized patinated bronze amphora on a stand, Grand Tour neo Pompeian, after the antique. Late 19th Century, circa 1880, probably French. An Egyptian revival sphinx sits on a ionic capital, with a reeded column and tri leg paw feet of neo classical design. Originally a lamp stand it could easily be rewired.
