CA0217 Grand Tour Sienna marble model of the column of Phocas

Superb mid to late 19th century Grand Tour Sienna marble model of the monumental column of Phocas in the Forum Romanum in Rome. Beautifully carved, very fine quality, detailed capital topped with a Marmo Rosso bust of Athena. Reeded column standing on a plinth base with a inscription COLVMNA FOCAE. Stepped base on black marble. Rome, Italy, circa 1870.
