CA0225 Rare Restoration 'En Fer' Steel French Lancers Sword

Rare example of a 19th century 'en fer' or steel French Lancers' sword and scabbarb dating from the Restoration period Charles X / Louis Philippe. Large 34 inch single edged slightly curved blade in very good condition with a large fuller. Steel three bar guard with downswept quillon. Double pointed end langlets. Steel backstrap and pommel. Original shagreen covered grip with twisted wire binding. Original simple steel two ring scabbard, unfortunately missing its throat, though sword fits tight up to the guard. Original spacer. Blade stamped Kull under the Langet on one side with a skull on the other  for Peter Kull of Solingen (active between 1820-1845). Nice example: clean bright blade hilt and scabbard with overall oxidisation as expected. Blade tight. French, circa 1830.
