CA0234 Rare pair of Grand Tour Cappricios by Eugenio Benvenuti

Interesting pair of probably early 20th century Italian Grand Tour oil on panel cappricios in the manner of Paolo Panini by Eugenio Benvenuti (1881-1959). Typically crammed with the visual delights of ancient Rome. Benvenuti was an artist that usually worked in watercolour but these seem stylistically to be gouache paintings perhaps with a later oil varnish. Sold at auction as oil on panel. Italy, circa 1920.
