CA0230 Grand Tour bronze model of a Roman charioteer

Good quality Italian 19th century Grand Tour patinated bronze model of a Roman charioteer based on the original 1st century AD Roman monumental marble statue in the Hall of the Chariot in the Vatican Museum in Rome. Sometimes referenced as after Francesco Righetti's model of Apollo in his chariot. Well cast with a dark even patina presented on a typical Roman style red and black marble platform base with white marble bun feet. Nice quality example. Italy, probably Rome, circa 1880.
