CA0221 Fine pair of French Empire Period candelabra

Impressive, extremely fine, large scale pair of bronze French early 19th century Empire period gilt and patinated bronze four light candelabra. Beautiful latticed column bases with standing classical female figures holding lyres and leaning on a central torchere with hanging drapery and urn. Three branches issue from the flower filled urn and a central stem with a floral wreath and ribbons. Finely decorated candle cups and central floral snuffers with butterfly atop. Rare superb quality, very attractive seldom seen candelabra. French, circa 1810.
