CA0304 Very Decorative Neoclassical Gilt Bronze Cupid Candelabra

Superb pair of early 19th century French Empire gilt and patinated bronze four branch figural candelabra. Well modelled and cast nude Amore or Cupid figures with bow and quiver holding aloft a central flame topped torchere with four classically designed arms with urn type candle cups. The figures stand on victors' wreaths and block bases with applied mounts with bracket feet. Good quality, very attractive pair of candelabra. French, first half 19th century.
