CA0311 Rare pair of French Retour d'Egypte centrepieces

Stunning, rare pair of 19th century French Retour d'Egypte bronze and cut glass centrepieces or surtout de table. Four fine quality patinated bronze Egyptian cayatids supporting the diamond cut glass bowls standing on a column base with machined Empire designs. Super pair with that understated elegance of the early 19th century. Converted to electricity at some point in the early 20th century they have now been returned to their original purpose. Seldom seen these would look great not just on a table but on a mantel shelf or credenza. France, circa 1840.
